Planet games is continuously growing its business both in the UK and Cyprus. 20 years ago, it started its operations by managing just 25 machines in all cities of Cyprus (Nicosia, Limassol, Pafos, Larnaka, Ayia napa and Protaras).
Planet games predominantly emphasized on selling toys via toy capsule vending machines. These were installed in various venues attracting families with children such as shopping malls, shopping centres, theme parks, chain companies, bowling alleys, cinemas, hotels, funfairs, amusement playgrounds, big indoor and outdoor playgrounds, arcade areas, zoos, aquariums, trampoline parks, laser playgrounds, sports/health/leisure centres, waterparks, swimming pools, mini golf areas, museums or school visits places, cafes, small playgrounds or soft play areas, ice cream parlours, sweet shops, family friendly pubs and restaurants.
As the years past, planet games has diversified its operations by offering children additional types of products such bouncing balls sold via mini flipper machines, chewing gum and candy sold via standing beaver machines, lollipops sold via chupa chup machines and tattoos sold via tattoo dispensing machines. This gave the opportunity to the company to sell more, thus significantly helping to increase its revenue.
In the year 2010, planet games decided to grow into the electronic amusement game business. It purchased a number of electronic games such as airhockey, video arcades, kiddie rides, race driving, plush and football cranes, prize winning, touch screen, gun shooting games etc. This allowed the company to offer something different to its customers while at the same assisting in the raising of profits.
In 2011, planet games decided to substantially increase the number of toy vending machines. In the first 3 months, the number was increased to 50. The following 3 months, to 100. By the end of the year, the company was operating 150 machines in both the UK and Cyprus. Currently, planet games is one of the biggest toy vending machine operators in Europe!
In 2015, the company opened its own dinosaur theme park. The park is located in the beautiful coastal town of Pafos, Cyprus. There is an indoor luna park with coin operated amusement games and an outdoor playground consisting of various inflatable bouncers and trampolines. Visitors can enjoy their snacks and beverages under the shade of a tent while watching their children play in the natural surroundings.
Looking back the history of planet games, one can deduce that it has been an exciting one. From toy vending machines to alternative games such as mini flippers, candy and tattoo machines, from amusement games to a dinosaur theme park. The company has constantly expanded its operations, establishing it amongst the best in Europe! However, things don’t stop here.
